1. College Station

Exciting can be a pretty subjective term. We wanted to inject a little objectivity into our analysis, however, so we had to come up with some criteria. One way to tell if a city is likely to be exciting is to gauge how much there is to do in the place. So, we started with a list of the 35 most populous cities in Texas and ranked them from one to 35 in each of the following categories:

We gave a score to each city based on their ranking in each category.  The cities that had the best composite score ranked the best.

Perhaps most well known for being the home of Texas A&M University, College Station ranked fifth or better in all the categories we surveyed. On Saturdays during the fall, Kyle Field is an epicenter of sports excitement. Known for their loud “12th man” fans, it can literally fit almost every permanent resident of the city.

Way to go College Station.  By the way, College Station, TX is a great place for investment properties.  Parents of students can save money investing in properties while their children attend.  There’s a lot of turn over in houses because parents know it’s usually less expensive to own instead of lease.  If you need help with your ‘HOMEwork’ in Aggieland, just let me know.  I’m here if you need me.
