The exhibit celebrates the life of Leonardo da Vinci, a well-known painter, sculptor, musician, architect, engineer and anatomist. The exhibit includes life-sized and fully operational machines based on Leonardo’s original designs. Visitors may touch and set them in motion, combining a fascinating hands-on experience with an exploration of the principles he employed to create each machine.

Experience the story of the fighting men and women of Washington County, who left Central Texas for the war-torn trenches and battlefields of France. They stood up to gas, artillery, disease, and even bad food… and returned to Texas to tell the tale. The Brenham Heritage Museum and the Chappell Hill Historical Society Museum have partnered to bring this multi-media and interactive experience to Texans young and old.

The 30th annual Wendish Fest celebrates the unique Wendish culture in Texas. A traditional Wendish meal of sausage, sauerkraut, homemade Wendish noodles, green beans, beets, peaches, and homemade bread will be served, and a snack booth is available.
Activities include polka music, a Wendish celebration of Ptaĉi Kwas (Bird Wedding), a coffee cake bakeoff, demonstrations of noodle-making, sausage-stuffing, weaving, knitting, Wendish Easter egg decorating, and more.
Children’s activities include barrel train rides, coloring contest, stick horse races, corn shelling, and Klettern Pfosten (greased pole climbing). On-site Christmas and Easter markets will offer items from Germany and Wendish culture.
