Briarcrest Golf Course

Briarcrest Golf Course is located at 1929 Country Club Drive. This is a regulation course with 18 holes measuring 6,748 yards with a par 72 rating. The design of this course offers a park-land style of play along with tight fairways and small greens that pose as a challenge to all levels of golfers. The Pro Shop offers a full line of men’s and women’s apparel to fit every style and season, clubs from all major manufacturers, full club repair and custom club fittings. The golf course also offers pull-carts, clubs, cart rental and practice/instructions with experienced golf professionals.

The course also offers 10×12 HD Golf Simulators that can be rented by the hour and allow full play on 25 of the globe’s best golf courses. The simulators also provide a detailed analysis on your swing for instructional and educational purposes and allow you to be fitted for the perfect golf clubs. The simulators have a wide range of games for all age levels and skill levels. The 10×12’ High Definition Screens can also be used to watch big sports events. Miramont Country Club

Miramont Country Club is located at One Miramont Boulevard and is the #10 golf course in Texas according to Golf Digest Magazine. The course is 18 holes, 7,127 yards and is ideal for both skilled golfers and amateurs. The Club also features a 93,000 square foot clubhouse and Pro Shop which has an extensive collection of women and men’s apparel, equipment and golf instruction. 

The course officially opened in 2005 and has consistently earned rave reviews and has been ranked among the top 10 to 15 courses in Texas. The natural lakes and meandering creeks demand precise yardages and shot-shaping from players looking for low scores. 

The four-hole family course is the ideal course for helping introduce young golfers to the game and also offers a faster option for members wishing to put his or her practice into play. The practice facility was created to foster the best habits for golfers to increase their skills and keep their game up to par. The large tees provide space to practice shots with various wind directions. The short game sections boast massive undulation and bunkering for players to stimulate an endless array of shots. 

Pebble Creek Country Club

The Pebble Creek Country Club is an 18-hole championship golf course that is designed to both challenge and offer a fun golf experience for all levels of golfers. The course is nationally recognized by Ken Dye with four different locations that offer yardages from 4,991 yards to nearly 7,000 yards from the championship tee. The club offers a golf shop with services, golf instruction, a 40,000 square foot clubhouse and banquet rooms for meetings.

This past year the course made the following updates:

  • New carts with a greater number with upgraded amenities.
  • Irrigation upgrade with a new satellite controllers and software control system so every drop of water counts.
  • Increasing the existing putting green across from the driving range to 6,000 square feet.
  • Artificial tee line- to preserve the range during high compaction.
  • Repair and re-grass the range landing area.
  • Four fairway target bunkers: two bunkers on #1 and two bunkers on #10.
  • New Sulphur Generator to reduce sodium output and improve overall water quality.

The Traditions Club

The Traditions Club is the home of the Texas A&M Golf Team and is one of the top golf courses in Texas. The golf course is 7,146 yards and features natural creeks and wetlands, stately hardwoods, and breathtaking views of the Texas A&M University Skyline. The Traditions Club is located at 3131 Club Drive. The club is both a private golf club and residential community and is nestled among beautiful hardwoods, rolling hills and the natural banks of Turkey Creek along with the new Texas A&M Health Science Center. Amidst the 900 acres, is the Jack Nicklaus and Jack Nicklaus II Design championship golf course. The Nicklauses have designed some of the most highly-acclaimed golf courses in the nation.

Texas A&M Campus Golf Course

The Texas A&M Campus Golf Course was designed by architect Jeff Blume and is an 18-hole championship golf course, short game practice area for research and H&K Classes and a driving range. The future addition of a tournament pavilion and a new club house will make this the social center for both current and former students to enjoy the game of golf. The course is a great option for every single skill set and is an affordable option. The golf shop also offers the latest and greatest golf equipment and apparel for men, women and children. 

The Campus Course is also the home of the Brad Lardon Golf Academy and helps with the fundamentals, bio-mechanics, fitness, psychology, nutrition and course management skills to help students reach their potential as golfers. All three of the professional teach staff members are both accomplished instructors and players. The academy designs each program to fit individual students or groups.

Michelle goes by ‘Myke’ and is the proud mother of 6 children – 3 girls and 3 boys. Her husband is David Leatham. They met at Brigham Young University. They have been married since 1977. David is a finance professor, and Associate Head over graduate studies in the Agricultural Economics Department at Texas A&M University, and speaks fluent Spanish. They have 18 grandchildren. They have lived in College Station since 1983 and loved every minute of it. Myke loves to quilt, sing, swim, ‘sing’, bake bread, ‘sing,’ garden, ‘sing’, sell real estate, and ‘sing some more’ :-).
